The three claims that matter, where the beer sold in the UK is brewed, its UK strength and who owns the brand, each rest on the brewer's own statement or on a seller's page transcribing the pack. Where the exact brewery is inferred rather than named, the page says so.

Two research passes disagreed, checked 5 September 2026

two independent passes disagreed; resolution=both_partly. Side A is right about the UK product (4.7%, both can and bottle, brewed in A Coruna and imported); side B's 5.5% is the Spanish home-market strength of Estrella Galicia Especial, not the UK strength. Both formats are the same 4.7% so no format split. A 330ml bottle listing was not found on Tesco; the 660ml bottle was used instead.

Origin, brewery city, UK abv and campaign all sourced. The Grocer article could not be fetched (405) so the campaign spend rests on the headline plus the Drinks Retailing analysis. Spanish home market abv still needs a Spanish source.

The small print on the base of a current can or bottle, giving the producer name and address, would settle this.
