A note on the sources
Tesco and Asda both list the 4 x 440ml cans with country of origin United Kingdom and 'Brewed and canned by Heineken UK Limited', which confirms UK brewing and the strength. The Cork heritage wording on the pack describes the brand's history, not where today's beer is made. The pack names Heineken UK's Edinburgh office rather than a brewery; the Morning Advertiser (1 December 2025) says Murphy's 'is brewed by Heineken UK in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire', and we show Tadcaster on that basis, though a statement from Heineken would be stronger.
A second Tesco listing for Murphy's has been recorded as giving Ireland as the country of origin, with Heineken UK Limited as the responsible address. We could not open that page again on 1 October 2026, so we do not know which pack it describes. The UK-brewed reading rests on the listings that print it, and we have found nothing that sets the Ireland entry against them.
Everything here is about the cans sold in supermarkets. We have not confirmed where Murphy's on draught in pubs is brewed: the Morning Advertiser's line about Tadcaster does not say which formats it covers, and the brand's home brewery is Lady's Well Brewery, Cork.
