What we have not confirmed
The owner, the 2020 European rights deal and the 2016 change of UK distributor are confirmed. Brooklyn Pilsner, a different beer, is brewed in the UK; we have no evidence that the Brooklyn Lager in UK supermarkets is. The Tesco 355ml bottle gives the United States as its country of origin, and the Asda, Waitrose and Tesco listings for the 4 x 330ml and 6 x 330ml packs (read 6 September 2026) give no origin or producer.
A Londis listing of the 330ml can prints 'Brewed for The Brooklyn Brewery by Carlsberg Supply Company Sverige AB, Falkenberg, Sweden' and 'Filled by Carlsberg UK, Northampton', with no country of origin. So the can we have seen was brewed in Sweden and filled in Northampton: packed here, not brewed here. With the Tesco bottle from the United States, we describe the beer as imported, from a country that depends on the pack. The can's origin rests on a convenience-store listing, and we have not checked Brooklyn Lager on draught in pubs.
CAMRA's report 'Beer in the UK' (July 2026, edited by Tim Webb) lists Brooklyn among lagers produced in the UK, but gives no source. The only can we have read was brewed in Falkenberg, so we have not changed anything.
